Woodfest Festival in Conwy North Wales
IMAGE

As an interactive festival, Woodfest provides many fun things for all the family. This festival gives a sense of the past, with many crafts men and women carrying out traditional crafts and skills. The Woodfest is all about wood, and what can be achieved with it. You’ll see beautiful, fascinating and functional art, sculptures, objects, buildings and more.

The Woodfest demonstrates the latest high tech forest equipment by working professionals. There are seven different event arenas, with displays on throughout the day, and over 150 outside stands of demonstrations and trade. There are also six main marquees full of interesting and unique goods produced in the country.

The festival is well known for its competitive axe racing, sawing and tree climbing events. Axmen from all around the world visit and take part in the competitive wood chopping, crosscut-sawing, tree climbing and chainsaw events.

The showpiece of the festival is the Carve Cymru, which brings together 18 of the finest chainsaw artists in the UK. The main sculpture pieces will be carved through the weekend, they will be presented in the area for a pre-auction viewing from noon onwards on the 4th June.
